She sounds a little nieve Paul.

A little? Mate, she is a LOT naive. She doesn't realize how serious they are about their murderous, child molester following faith.

AFAIK once you convert to Islam your Muslim for life. If no expert but I have heard denouncing the faith comes with treaty of death.
True but a lot depends on where and how public you are about it.  If she finishes her contract(s) and returns to the Phils, nobody is going to accost her coming out of mass accusing her of renouncing Islam and shooting her.  It's not like they tattoo Muslim on her forehead.  I would be more worried having denied Jesus.  She may not have said anything, she may just check the Muslim box on an application form, but it's the same.  Still, all can be forgiven.

I worked in Iran for a year with several Western women who had converted to Islam and who had lived in Iran for several years before I met them.

It was no big deal to them. They seemed happily married, no problems with the life style, the only noticible difference being they usually wore a headscarf.at work.

If she's not being pressured to change religions, and is working for a good boss, what's the concern?

Converting to Islam IMHO is just like joining a gang. There's only one way out...in a box!

If she's not being pressured to change religions, and is working for a good boss, what's the concern?

1. She's VERY naive and doesn't always understand what she is getting into.

2. She is VERY immature for her age.

3. Women would say, she is TOO emotional.

4. I am concerned about her safety. When converting, I honestly do not believe she understood what she was getting herself into, even though she knows she can just drop it and go back to Catholicism when she returns home. She doesn't realize there is more to it than turning it on and off, like a water spigot.

She is the mother of my son. I want him to have her for as long as he can.

Lastly, if she were going to convert to something, I would prefer almost any other faith, to one that follows a fucking baby raper. Not to mention one that has such a high percentage of extremists who believe we should all die if we do not convert.

Man, I feel for you Paul.  It's too damn bad you can't finagle some way to get custody of Quinn, but I suspect that would be right up there with a snowballs chance in hell.

It doesn't matter if she is naive or stupid, once she converts, she may not be able to leave.  The Saudis are really weird about that stuff.

She is possibly more secure and protected as a Muslim there!

إن شاء الله

Muslims are exempted from Philippine laws prohibiting polygamy and divorce.

Right up until they decide to stone her, or do anything else they want to her, as a "Loyal Muslim Woman".

Oh, I could get him if she were to die. But, THAT is what I want to prevent, anything from happening to her. You see, my name is on his birth certificate as his father, and all his documents as his father, even before his birth.

She's just a helper in a home there. She said she just pretended to convert to make her boss happy. She said she does not like being that way and will drop it when she leaves the country.

(See my previous post in this thread. I quoted her last messages to me.)

If she were to marry there, then so be it.

She may be a survivor..if the man holding a machete was asking me to be Muslim, I would change in a blink of an eye...keeping my head intact in the process..it's the heart that counts, not the words...
